Introducing the NEW Community Rewards program

Hello Smartsheet Community,

We value the way you support and encourage one another and the energy you put into helping your peers build solutions.

We’re always looking for more ways to celebrate you and your contributions. That is why we are introducing a new Community Rewards program based on your feedback and all you’ve accomplished.

As you engage with the Community you'll level up to unlock rewards including swag, exclusive invitations and access to previews and beta features.

What kind of rewards are available?

As you engage and contribute to the Community earning badges and points you’ll level up, qualifying you for exclusive invitations to events, early access to Community beta features, swag (coming soon) and other surprises (opt out available).

How do I earn points and increase my rank?

When you engage with other Smartsheet users on and off-platform in a meaningful way, you qualify for badges and points. The points you receive along with your overall participation on the Community platform allows you to level up over time reaching new ranks and unlocking a variety of rewards.

Based on your feedback, we’re happy to introduce theCommunity Badge Dashboard, where you can see all available badges in one place, along with the point value associated with each category. We hope this centralized place will answer frequently asked questions and encourage you to keep collecting and keep achieving.

Where does my rank display?

You’ll be able to level up based on a combination of time on the platform, contributions (posts) and points earned through helping others. Your rank will display on your profile next to your name whenever you post or comment.

How will I be recognized and celebrated on the Community platform?

Aside from your rank displaying on your profile page and along side your profile picture as you engage on the platform you'll also have opportunities for being highlighted on our Weekly and Monthly leader boards both of which can be found on theRecent Activity page. We've expanded these lists to show the top 15 members in each category. We also feature a Member Spotlight each month showcasing a member of the Community. Do you know someone in the Community who should be next month's Member Spotlight? Nominate themhere.

What about my past points or existing rank?

The points and badges you’ve earned in the past will not be impacted and will carry over though you may see fluctuations in rank based on new criteria assigned for each level.

Program rules:

Your participation in the Community Rewards Program (the “Program”) is entirely voluntary and Smartsheet reserves the right to update the terms and conditions of the Program at any time by updating the relevant terms on the community.smartsheet.com website. Smartsheet employees are not eligible to participate in the Program.

By participating in the Program, you acknowledge that you are (i) over the age of eighteen, (ii) a credentialed Smartsheet User (as that term is defined in the Agreement governing your access to and use of the Smartsheet Services), and (iii) not otherwise prohibited by your employer or by law to participate and/or receive prizes or incentives related to the Program. It is your responsibility to review any policies or information relevant to your participation in the Program. If Administrators determine a member has cheated and gamed their way to a rank in order to qualify for rewards, those rewards are forfeited.

The badge dashboard is our comprehensive list of all active badges. Any old links to all badges will direct you to the dashboard. We do have a number of badges in the works which we'll be adding to the dashboard as soon as they're available. @Arsineh, I'm inferring that “rank” refers to the stars (Observer >> Ambassador), but that's not actually stated clearly in your post. Could you make that more explicit? Or else correct me if I'm misunderstanding? And is looking at a previous submitted post the only place to see my own rank? Could it be made visible more readily, such as by placing it above the Badges section on the Edit Profile page?

Also, where will one find the point thresholds to “level up”?

Finally, who do I follow up with about badges: A) missing (2022 Core Cert; Process Power I earned on site at Engage '22; Fully Charged); B) ideas (could "2021" be added to the ALL IN badge so its sequence among the Engage years could be discernable; should there be one for having been a speaker for an Engage session, and if so, considering the rather significant effort and reach involved, might it warrant 250 or more points)?

Hi@CleversheetThis is great feedback and I appreciate you taking the time to post. The stars do reflect your rank and are tied to each level Observer, Ambassador, etc. Your rank can be found next to your name when you engage on the platform but also on your profile page.

We are working to have ranks added to our badge dashboard and you should see this added shortly. We'll be adding point and engagement thresholds to this announcement post shortly to make the path to leveling up more clear.

Lastly, regarding badges do you remembers which Process Power you got after taking the quiz? If you visit the related badge page and click 'request' I'll be sure you receive it. Similarly, please do the same with the Fully Charged badge, if you haven't already done so.

I like your idea for an Engage Speaker badge and we'll work with our design team to get this developed and added to the badge dashboard. Always eager to hear of any additional badge ideas you have and encourage you to share.

The 2021 ENGAGE All In badge has the year in the badge description but not on the badge itself. Though we're unable to make edits to an existing badge - I'm share your feedback on incorporating the year in all future Engage badge designs.
