Not all "Actual" bar show in gantt chart

Hi,

Some of the tasks/sub-activities in my gantt chart do not show the "actual" bar even there is a reported progress (e.g. below activity with 25% progress).

I'd appreciate any advise.

@Andrée Starå@Genevieve P.perhaps you can assist?

Thanks

    This bar is spanning from around April 20th to past May 14th. Do you have dates set on these items? If you have 25%, but the work wasn't done until like May 20th, it might not show. I think we need to see a bit more information from your sheet to be able to help.

    Hi@Kleerfyre

    Thanks for your reply.

    Here is another example where the "% of complete" does not reflect as a bar in the gantt chart.

    Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Do you potentially have a critical path set up? Check your properties on that task. Is there any dependencies on this task?

    @Kleerfyrenone. they are independent tasks.

    That is quite odd. So you could try deleting the row then re-entering it and see if that fixes the issue. You could also look in the logs of the sheet to see if you see anything there as well.

    @Kleerfyre

    I have figured it out. in the Project Settings, the %Completed Column setting was point to another column. (Figure 1)

    As you can see here, it now shows the "actual" bar on top of the "Planned". Now I have another related inquiry.

    Why is it that when I use the same as "report" in the dashboard, it doesn't show the "actual" bars?

    Any idea?

    Hi@IPC

    Percentage progress bars won't show in a Report - you'll need to view this in the underlying sheet to see the progress, as you've found.

Hi @ewitt19205

Try removing the space between the quotes. You are counting all cells with 1 space in the cell. Blanks are counted with the quotes together.

When counting blanks though, its also good to use a COUNTIFS and compare the blank off another column that always has a value. Like Countifs when the Project name is not blank (<>"//www.santa-greenland.com/community/discussion/105628/") and the Account Dashboard is blank ("//www.santa-greenland.com/community/discussion/105628/").

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

The issue is with your arguments overall. Using the Score of 40 (as in your examples)...

The score start range has to be 40 or greater, but the range end has to be less than or equal to 40.

Try reversing it so that the start is less than the score and the end is greater than the score.

Take a look at the second piece in your destination file. The formula is not throwing an error, but it is also not pulling the correct value in. It should be pulling in Moderate because 40 is between 35 and 54, but it is pulling in Moderate-High because that is the first entry where the Range Start is greater than 40.

You have your greater than and less than backwards.
