My go to is the community page since I am our Smartsheet SME and Account Administrator. I have on occasion reached out to our CSM as well. The community or learning center have always been my best resource. I am also a Smartsheet Mobilizer so I have started using the community there as well.

  • we have an internal Teams group for SmartSheet "Power Users" so I will often start there. If our internal team is stumped, I move to this community (thank you all!) and if that doesn't do the job or I need more of a visual, I have had pretty great success with YouTube!

First it was You Tube to get started, then I realized I had Smartsheet University for a broader understanding, and now I find myself mostly here for things I just can't figure out.

I still use a couple of the YouTube vids though, especially the stacked bar chart one which I follow over and over again because my brain doesn't naturally turn some of those corners.

When my boss gave me and 2 others 24 hours to find a live version of Excel for 200+ employees to edit / update tracking logs / reports to use on a Multi Billion Dollar Federally funded project, we stayed up all night researching and choose Smartsheets (3:14am took the plunge).

Not knowing what this program can do, i took it upon myself to search the net (high and low) on anything / everything related to Smartsheets for 6 months (during / after work) while the staff did major data dumping into 45 sheets the 3 of us created that night we created the business acct. After learning so much from the Smartsheets training videos, YouTube videos from all walks of life, websites dedicated to providing tricks, hacks, complex formulas, examples, and last but not least my most favorite and pinned in Firefox (always having multiple tabs on different topics open on my 4th 27" monitor at my desk),this BADA$$Community to refer to, provide my expert advice, and ask questions.

During those 6 months, i told my boss to change my title from Project Engineer / Coordinator, to Project Engineer / Coordinator & Smartsheets Oversight Manager in order to inform our staff that I am going to oversee this very large overwhelming program (by myself btw). I am now in charge of everything Smartsheets related (creating accounts, created training manuals / procedures / protocols, setting up tracking logs, reports, dashboards and doing all the in-house formulas) for over 200 employees accessing anything in our account's 20+ workspaces.

So with that all being said, (i know i talk to much lol), i wanted to personally thank everyone that is part of this awesome community for providing everything i have needed so far as well as everything i haven't yet mastered or thought of to utilize in the future. Everyone is helpful in their own unique way, which is perfect for everyone who requires that knowledge, since everyone learns and understands differently. What is easy for me is another language to someone else, but if others explain / ask the same thing I just did using a different approach or words, then (regardless how you learn/teach it) everyone has the ability to be experts at this program. So again, thank you all so very much for all your support, expert advice and the priceless knowledge for us to access and use as tools, I am very grateful & honored to be a part of it all.

I come here first - but I also had a 1:1 session which was really helpful!

  • I mostly turn to Smartsheet Forums, which is usually a great source for knowledge and insight. I'll also sometimes tap a few of my peers who have varying levels of Smartsheet experience; and we'll sometimes try to tag-team the issue to find a solution.

I took over as the new owner and have done trial and error. My main source has been Google on simple issues. I wasn't aware this community was here to help, so I am looking forward to working with some of you!

  • I am a part of the Smartsheet Guru Team at our company, but there are definitely Gurus that have more experience with varying Smartsheet-y things than I do. I typically start by asking our other Gurus, then we turn to you wonderful people in this community if they do not have the answers.

我这里到社区!我已经能够answer many questions just by reading through the experiences of others and when I can't solve it that way, I ask :)

  • In general:

If it's process specific to my company, I'll have a discussion with my Smartsheet-savvy peers.

If it's a complex question or process, especially when building something new, I'll reach out to Matthew Handler and our account team!

But for the most part, I turn here to the Smartsheet Community! The community has been an immeasurable help on my Smartsheet journey, and no matter how much I think I know, there's always more to learn. Thank you SO MUCH to all of the contributors!

    Hello Everyone,

I'm Kaveri, and I'm based in India.

I was introduced to Smartsheet by my seniors, and now I'm heading several projects within my company. During my initial days, I extensively explored the Smartsheet community, followed learning paths, and sought guidance from experienced colleagues. A big thank you to everyone who provided assistance and support along the way!

    Thanks,
