Excel Template import

Hi Team: Has anyone imported an excel template file into Smartsheet? I want to make visible to users the form for weekly updates.

When I try to import my excel file the systems has a pop up box which reads the file is empty.

Any information will be appreciated

Thanks for your post! It sounds like you're trying to import an Excel File into Smartsheet, but you're seeing an error that the file is empty. Is the information you're trying to import on the first worksheet in your Excel workbook? When importing an Excel file, only the first worksheet of the workbook is imported, so you may see the "file empty" error in this case.

To workaround this, open your Excel file and move the desired worksheet to the first position. Ensure that there are no hidden worksheets in front of it, as well.

You mention that you're trying to do this for visibility to your users, so another option may be to attach your Excel file to a row in an existing sheet. I've linked some related resources below:
