how is the percent complete calculated if there are multiple tasks with time frames which all roll up into a high level task? For example see attached image.
From my quick analysis, the % Complete works on Duration complete rather than an average of the Percentage column, therefore if you have milestones in the tasks these are not included in the calculation as they are 0 days duration.
If anybody else knows different they may be able shed more light on it.
For some reason, when I roll up the % complete, it does not reflect the true % complete. My initiation phase is 80% and Site Visit Preparedness is 13%, the aggregated % complete for Pre-Visit Task completion is only showing Site Visit Preparedness. Thoroughly confused!
Is the top row, Pre-Visit Task Completion, a parent? It doesn't look like it from your screenshot. It has to be if it should be automatic and you don't want to add the formulas yourself.
What formula are you using in the 13% in the top row?
I didn;t use any formula. I thought I saw in one of the videos that you can roll up by dragging the cursor... Oops!
I have never used parent/ child function before. I tried it after I saw your message. and I get a message saying I can not update because the row has sub tasks. Do I need to delete the hierarchy to make it work? Is there a video that shows how parent/ child function work? I looked through youtube, but in vain.
Ok, how about using a helper column with a 0 or 1 being input by your automation, and then use this as the trigger. So set the default on the column to 0, and if an attachment is there, leave it at 0. Then if an attachment is not there workflow will set it to 1, and that would trigger the automated workflow to run.<\/p>"}]}},"status":{"statusID":3,"name":"Accepted","state":"closed","recordType":"discussion","recordSubType":"question"},"bookmarked":false,"unread":false,"category":{"categoryID":321,"name":"Smartsheet Basics","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/categories\/smartsheet-basics%2B","allowedDiscussionTypes":[]},"reactions":[{"tagID":3,"urlcode":"Promote","name":"Promote","class":"Positive","hasReacted":false,"reactionValue":5,"count":0},{"tagID":5,"urlcode":"Insightful","name":"Insightful","class":"Positive","hasReacted":false,"reactionValue":1,"count":0},{"tagID":11,"urlcode":"Up","name":"Vote Up","class":"Positive","hasReacted":false,"reactionValue":1,"count":0},{"tagID":13,"urlcode":"Awesome","name":"Awesome","class":"Positive","hasReacted":false,"reactionValue":1,"count":0}],"tags":[{"tagID":334,"urlcode":"automations","name":"Automations"}]},{"discussionID":108318,"type":"question","name":"Count to show the High Priority Items","excerpt":"I would like to add a formula that counts the number of 1 - High, 2 - Med, 3 - Low in each row.","snippet":"I would like to add a formula that counts the number of 1 - High, 2 - Med, 3 - Low in each row.","categoryID":322,"dateInserted":"2023-07-31T18:51:49+00:00","dateUpdated":null,"dateLastComment":"2023-07-31T19:48:33+00:00","insertUserID":121230,"insertUser":{"userID":121230,"name":"Kris Peeters","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/profile\/Kris%20Peeters","photoUrl":"https:\/\/aws.smartsheet.com\/storageProxy\/image\/images\/u!1!zzjX8w2dwDY!5FVWucGjaaQ!-sgJ3Uz0EeO","dateLastActive":"2023-07-31T19:46:31+00:00","banned":0,"punished":0,"private":false,"label":"✭✭✭✭"},"updateUserID":null,"lastUserID":121230,"lastUser":{"userID":121230,"name":"Kris Peeters","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/profile\/Kris%20Peeters","photoUrl":"https:\/\/aws.smartsheet.com\/storageProxy\/image\/images\/u!1!zzjX8w2dwDY!5FVWucGjaaQ!-sgJ3Uz0EeO","dateLastActive":"2023-07-31T19:46:31+00:00","banned":0,"punished":0,"private":false,"label":"✭✭✭✭"},"pinned":false,"pinLocation":null,"closed":false,"sink":false,"countComments":4,"countViews":26,"score":null,"hot":3381664822,"url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/discussion\/108318\/count-to-show-the-high-priority-items","canonicalUrl":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/discussion\/108318\/count-to-show-the-high-priority-items","format":"Rich","lastPost":{"discussionID":108318,"commentID":388103,"name":"Re: Count to show the High Priority Items","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/discussion\/comment\/388103#Comment_388103","dateInserted":"2023-07-31T19:48:33+00:00","insertUserID":121230,"insertUser":{"userID":121230,"name":"Kris Peeters","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/profile\/Kris%20Peeters","photoUrl":"https:\/\/aws.smartsheet.com\/storageProxy\/image\/images\/u!1!zzjX8w2dwDY!5FVWucGjaaQ!-sgJ3Uz0EeO","dateLastActive":"2023-07-31T19:46:31+00:00","banned":0,"punished":0,"private":false,"label":"✭✭✭✭"}},"breadcrumbs":[{"name":"Home","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/"},{"name":"Get Help","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/categories\/get-help"},{"name":"Formulas and Functions","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/categories\/formulas-and-functions"}],"groupID":null,"statusID":3,"image":{"url":"https:\/\/us.v-cdn.net\/6031209\/uploads\/382QSC10NTUW\/count-jpg.jpg","urlSrcSet":{"10":"","300":"","800":"","1200":"","1600":""},"alt":"count.JPG"},"attributes":{"question":{"status":"accepted","dateAccepted":"2023-07-31T19:48:14+00:00","dateAnswered":"2023-07-31T19:18:51+00:00","acceptedAnswers":[{"commentID":388092,"body":"
