DoD Bans HTML Messages and Deactivates Links

All HTML messages sent to .mil addresses are converted to plain text with all links deactivated. This renders the rows in Update Requests messages useless.

Here is an example of a deactivated link:

This takes away some of the beauty of Smartsheet. And we must use our .mil email for official business.

    Hello— as email systems are controlled by the email provider's settings, I'd recommend reaching out to your IT team directly and have them troubleshoot why this is occurring.

    The plain text switch that you're seeing isn't behavior that Smartsheet has control over, as your .mil email server seems to be performing this conversion. Smartsheet doesn't have functionality to convert emails to plain text.

    If you or your IT team has further questions on this, the best resource would be to email[email protected]Keep in mind though that our Support team's troubleshooting resources may be limited, as this issue appears to be happening on your .mil email server.

The column mapping you setup in the DataMesh configuration is used to determine what information needs to link or copy and where it needs to go. The Execution Frequency<\/strong> is what tells the system when to run the DataMesh workflow.<\/p>

Execution Frequency: Scheduled execution frequency to update DataMesh values.<\/p>

The Update Immediately<\/em> execution frequency isn't supported when using a report as your source. If using a report this could be why you are not seeing updates immediately.<\/p>

As far as what triggers a workflow to run when \"Update Immediately\" is selected, DataMesh looks for matching cell values and these could come from manual entries, formulas, or cell links. When there is a successful mesh you can see the CONFIG LOGS by clicking the paper icon.<\/p>

After clicking the paper icon a CONFIG LOGS window will pop up showing a history of all the successful and errors.<\/p>

If it is unsuccessful the paper icon will be red or in the CONFIG LOGS it will show the error.<\/p>
