Export selected rows only to excel
Hello, is it possible to export only the filtered rows to excel? When doing the export, it will hide the rows that were filtered, but they will still be in the excel so if I try to copy and paste or create a mailmerge, the excel will also pick up the hidden rows.
Alternatively, is it possible to do a mailmerge via word directly from smartsheets?

I have the same issue. I need to report externally via an excel and only want to pass along relevant rows based on a filter.

The reason a report doesn't work is that filters may be ad hoc. Maybe you want to run a quick search and export just those results.
Also, if you are using dynamic view, you cannot base a report on a dynamic view, but the filters/export relationship work the same way in dynamic view.
SmartSheet, this should be an easy and obvious fix.

@Mark SalamonIf you create the report and just leave it there, adjusting the report criteria is pretty similar to adjusting sheet filter criteria. Just keep the report, and you can do a quick adjust on that, and you don't have to worry about the sheet itself being saved with the wrong filter or anything.
