Looking for the syntax for if a cell does not contain . (a period)
This is not working
=IF([Work #]1 <> "*.*", "No", "Yes")

Remove the *
Try this.
=IF([Work #]@row <> ".", "No", "Yes")

=IF(FIND(".", [Work #]1) = 0, "No", "Yes")
This will generate a "No" if the cell does not contain a period.
