Report on Last Comment date?
I'm seeing that the System Modified field is NOT updated after entering a new comment on a row. Is there a way to report on the Last Comment Date? I am trying to identify a way to create a report on my sheet that shows Last Update dates, and Comments are being utilized to provide a status update, or entry of the last activity. Trying to avoid going to a "Status" Column to get a modified date when the status is updated.

As you have found, changes made to the discussions, attachments, or formatting (font color, background color, etc) are not logged in theModified Date column. There also isn't a way to report on the built-in Comments column.
When you have a moment, submit aProduct Enhancement Requestto let our Product team know that you'd like to have this functionality in Smartsheet.

@Alejandra- Thank you for getting back to us on this. We will submit these as product enhancement requests. Hopefully they can be added in the near future.

Hi,
The third-party service, Zapier, might be an excellent option for this scenario. Is that an option for you?
I hope that helps!
Have a fantastic week!

I hope you're well and safe!

Try something like this. (I've guessed what your formula would look like, but you'd have to update the column names to match yours)

=JOIN(COLLECT([COLUMN2]:[COLUMN2], [COLUMN2]:[COLUMN2], 1, [COLUMN3]:[COLUMN3], "Support"), CHAR(10))

Did that work/help?

There were a lot of errors in the formula, but it was mainly the brackets { is used for cross-sheet formulas, and you have to close the [ ] square brackets around a column name that doesn't only have one piece of text, and then the structure wasn't correct.
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!
Best,
Andrée Starå | Workflow Consultant / CEO @ WORK BOLD
✅Did my post(s) help or answer your question or solve your problem?
