Data Mesh with mult-select
Does Data Mesh work with a multi-select column? I'm seeing errors with a very simple Data Mesh config.

Hi Tana,
Yes, Data Mesh works when using multi-select columns, however both the source sheet and destination sheet need to have the same column type (both need to be set up as multi-select).
What errors are you receiving, can you post screen captures of it? It would also be helpful to see your two sheets and the Data Mesh configuration. That said, it sounds like this may be a question you'll want to ask Smartsheet Support (click here for how to contact Support).
Thanks!
Genevieve

Thank you, Genevieve! This helped and it was a different issue plaguing my Data Mesh workflow. I'm glad I was able to rule this out.

Can you provide a little more information? What are you looking to do, and can you post screen captures of it? It would be helpful to see your two sheets and the Data Mesh configuration that you have currently set up (but please block out any sensitive data)

I am trying to use Data Mesh to update a single select drop down. I want to be able to make updates to the source sheet drop down and push those changes to the single select drop down on my target sheet.

Data Meshcan help you with that, however keep in mind that it will update the value appearing in the cells in the target sheet (versus adjusting the values in the Column Properties that show up in the drop-down list). Is this what you meant?
Let me know if you have a specific question or issue in regards to your Data Mesh and I'm happy to help!
Cheers,
Genevieve

@Genevieve Pis there any way to have Datamesh actually update the values in the Column Properties?

No; the functionality you're describing can be done by using a different Premium Application, DataShuttle(versus DataMesh).
See the action that you can select in Step 3, here:Create an Upload Workflow in Data Shuttle

No, it currently isn't possible to share the Data Shuttle workflow configuration with another account. The set-up for that workflow is associated with one account. (Please let our Product team know of your feature request by filling in this form, here!)
That said, many team members will be able to trigger that workflow, depending on what that trigger is. For example, if the workflow is based on an attachment, any user can upload the attachment for the workflow. Does that make sense?
