Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment to drag & drop in the Calendar, but it's an excellent idea!
Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Hmm... That is not what was shared by smartsheet in this smartsheet video. Clearly states here that the functionality is a working functionality.

Here is the video with the drag drop/slide of visits in calendar view and also shows how to user overlays. How do we make this work?

I also would like to see this functionality. The calendar view feels cumbersome without it

I'm testing some things out, but at the moment, I seem to be correct, and it doesn't work. (and it should work according to the videos)
I'll let you know if I find out why.

I have a similar problem with a plain calendar. What is especially frustrating is that some items easily drag and drop, while others I must edit manually. It was working until just a few weeks ago, and now some work, some don't.

Hello,
is it possible that it would not work when there is a function on a row?
(i have a sheet on which i can move some tasks and some others i can't, the difference seem to be in the formula but i'm not sure).
-
Well, i have 2 smartsheets, one in which I can drag and drop tasks in my calendar (except if there a function on the date displayed), and the other one in which the drag and drop feature is not possible. If you have any more information, that would be great. Have fun!

Hi@Julie Cloutierand@rholder4tm,
If you're working in a sheet withdependencies enabled, the drag functionality for task bars in theCalendar Viewwon't be available. If you're not working in a dependency-enabled sheet, it's possible that having other automated calculations via formulas may be restricting the drag and drop functionality as well. If the behavior is becoming problematic, you may want to接触的支持团队如果他们能review your sheet, confirm the root cause of the issue and the expected behavior, and provide insight on how to resolve this.
I hope this helps!
Thanks,
Ben

Hey@Ben G- just ran across this doing a similar thing, and is this explained anywhere in Smartsheet's help documents? Couldn't find it, there's no reference to this in the YouTube video, that this might a thing. Glad I scrolled to the bottom on this, makes a huge difference.

Hi@Dan Smock,
Happy to help! I haven't found this documented anywhere either so I've submitted a request to get this verbiage added to the Calendar View Help article.
Thanks,
Ben

It depends on your automation settings. If you set it to unrestricted, you can send to an email address in a cell without giving them access to the sheet. You can also specify which cells are provided in the update request within the automation builder.<\/p>"}]}},"status":{"statusID":3,"name":"Accepted","state":"closed","recordType":"discussion","recordSubType":"question"},"bookmarked":false,"unread":false,"category":{"categoryID":321,"name":"Smartsheet Basics","url":"https:\/\/community.smartsheet.com\/categories\/smartsheet-basics%2B","allowedDiscussionTypes":[]},"reactions":[{"tagID":3,"urlcode":"Promote","name":"Promote","class":"Positive","hasReacted":false,"reactionValue":5,"count":0},{"tagID":5,"urlcode":"Insightful","name":"Insightful","class":"Positive","hasReacted":false,"reactionValue":1,"count":0},{"tagID":11,"urlcode":"Up","name":"Vote Up","class":"Positive","hasReacted":false,"reactionValue":1,"count":0},{"tagID":13,"urlcode":"Awesome","name":"Awesome","class":"Positive","hasReacted":false,"reactionValue":1,"count":0}],"tags":[]},{"discussionID":106743,"type":"question","name":"Automations and Microsoft Team Channels","excerpt":"I have created Automations that \"Alert Someone\" when certain conditions are met.
