Approval Workflow - Send to contacts in a cell

inSmartsheet Basics

你好,我是创建一个Workfl批准ow with "Unrestricted" Automation Permissions so that the approval request can be sent to any email. The Requestor is prompted to enter the "Approver Email" within the request form.

When creating the workflow under "Request an approval" I have selected "Send to contacts in a cell" but I am unable to select the contact field (it says "no results found"). The column name in the sheet is "Approver Email" so I was expecting to select this column as the contact field.

Any ideas what I'm doing incorrectly??

Fixed, needed to add \"Value\" before the formula to remove the apostrophe.<\/p>

There is no direct way to do this. Adding a checkbox helper column with something similar to this and then formatting based on the checkbox is the simplest way. You can even hide the extra column, as there is no reason for it to be visible.<\/p>
