Checkbox formula with percentage

I'm still learning how to use all of Smartsheet's assets. I am trying to show a percentage for checked boxes. Can someone help me with the formula part?

That should give you the number of all checkboxes. Now you need to divide that by the number of checkboxes that have been checked to get the percentage. It will look like:
=COUNTIF([Completed?]1:[Completed?]4, 1) / COUNT([Completed?]1:[Completed?]4)

Now how would I get a percentage to show of the boxes checked?

Also, if not all boxes are checked it says this:
and I am looking to display a percentage, whether it be 0% or 100%

I think the problem you're running into is that you're trying to show the formula for a percentage in a column meant for check boxes. It is saying "Boolean Expected" because it expects either True or False (Checked or Not Checked). If you take the formula I put in my previous response in a text/number column then it will work

Or better yet, you could add a Summary field by selecting the Summary on the right panel and creating a new field that uses the same formula.

It worked once I moved it to a different column! now how can I change it to display as a percentage?

John Jonassen ✭✭✭✭@David Tutwilerdid all the heavy lifting on this, but you can easily get the percentage format by using the % at the top of your sheet but under the sheet name, toward the right side.
