Notification except if attachment are available

inSmartsheet Basics

I want to be able to automate notification to certain users in case a row is modified, but only if this row does not have an attachment. How can I do it?

I tried adding a condition to the trigger for notification, but the field "attachment" is not there, so I can't put a condition on the presence/absence of attachment.

Any suggestion?

There is no direct way to do this. Adding a checkbox helper column with something similar to this and then formatting based on the checkbox is the simplest way. You can even hide the extra column, as there is no reason for it to be visible.<\/p>
