Card View Referencing another SmartSheet
A co-worker asked me if there's a way she can create a project using card view, but have the various columns reference the tasks she has in various other SmartSheets. She's looking for a way to track all the tasks she has in multiple sheets, update those tasks, and not have to open all the SmartSheets individually.
Basically each column would be a different project, with the tasks under it those she has in that project.
I'm not too familiar with card view, but it sounds like a dashboard to me, but I wanted to throw it out to the experts.

Has she looked into creating a report that references all of the sheets?

Ohhhhhh yes, a report might do the trick, but you can't put a report in Card View which I think she likes, but let me suggest this.

You're right. I forgot about that. Reports do not currently support Card View. She could do grouping by project in a report.
Technically it is possible to achieve exactly what she wants, but it is a rather complex setup that requires regular maintenance to include adding/changing formulas.

I hope you're well and safe!
Woohoo! It's finally here!Card View in Reports!
Card view is now available in reports! Combine your project sheets into one report, then view in card view to quickly answer questions like:
- Which tasks are high priority?
- How many issues are in the Implementation stage?
- Which designer has the most requests?
Align the whole team on priority by dragging cards within a lane to save card ranking – without affecting the order of the underlying data in grid view.Learn more.
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

@Andrée StaråI just saw that email yesterday too. I don't really use Card View very much myself, but I do know quite a few people who are definitely going to be excited about it!
