任何人建立一个解决方案允许click through from a SmartSheet to a fileshare

... not to OneDrive or Google Drive or anything online, just to a local fileshare.

Our finance folks have a tool that builds analysis models. It needs to live on a local drive and produce output there.

Anyone have a creative solution that would allow a single click to take someone to such a location. (Assuming they were logged in and on the proper environment to begin.)

    Hi@Dale Murphy,

    From what you explain it sounds like you'd like to export your Smartsheet data and make it accessible in your local drive. If so, this could be achieved byexporting your datainto any of the available formats and then transferring that file into your local drive.

    There currently isn't a way to selectively export specific row or column data from the document and the whole sheet will be exported. If you'd like to request this option, when you have a moment, please let our Product team know about your feedback byfilling in this form, here.Thank you!

    I hope this can be of help, however, if I have misinterpreted your query, please let me know how the data should be made available in your local drive and maybe include some captures of your current flow, making sure any sensitive data has been hidden or blurred.

    Cheers!

    @Julio S.No, my users want to be able to cell-link from a SmartSheet cell to a fileshare, instead of [only] linking to URLs. So an expanded of the options here.

    The better solution is to use OneDrive (or whatever equivalent tool an organization uses). But some in our shop are slow to adopt that newer approach.

    Thanks for the note Julio.

    Hi@Dale Murphy,

    Gotcha!, so as you're pointing in order to hyperlink external data, you would need a URL and cell-linking would only work for Smartsheet items. If you haven't done so yet, I'd suggest raising some feedback for our Product team with the link to the Form provided in my previous answer.

    Cheers!

@BStump

This method does produce separate reports:

The Project Plan report will include this filter: "Sheet Type" is one of "Project Plan" -- this filter will exclude rows coming from the RAID Log (and all other types of sheets) because those other sheets will have a value in their "Sheet Type" column that is not "Project Plan."

The RAID Log report will include this filter: "Sheet Type" is one of "RAID Log" -- this filter will exclude rows coming from the Project Plan (and all other types of sheets) because those other sheets will have a value in their "Sheet Type" column that is not "RAID Log."

Thus, each report will include a filter rule specifying that only rows with its own sheet type can be included.

I have each assigned to person with conditional format with a color to let them know what they are assigned to work, but what if i need two or more associates to work that particular assignment, how do i set up conditional formatting for that, or would that be a formula?
I have each assigned to person with conditional format with a color to let them know what they are assigned to work, but what if i need two or more associates to work that…
https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/108417/how-do-i-set-up-a-conditional-format-when-i-want-more-than-one-person-in-the-assigned-to-column
https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/108417/how-do-i-set-up-a-conditional-format-when-i-want-more-than-one-person-in-the-assigned-to-column
Rich
245,254,334,437
{"10":"","300":"","800":"","1200":"","1600":

@Genesia

I would use conditional formatting. The rules for individual people should be in the form "If Assigned To is equal to 'Curtis Coleman' then apply this format to the entire row." It's important to use "is equal to" rather than "contains." Then add a final rule (at the bottom of the list of rules): "If Assigned To is not blank then apply this format to the entire row."

With this structure and wording for the rules, rows with a single person assigned will get their individual color and those with two or more people will get the color you assign in the last rule.

Hope this helps!

Is it possible to create a check out/in sheet and form where the entries from the form will land on the same row? Form entries cannot land in the same row. However, you could use a form entry to check out and then use an update request to check in.
