经常通知发送给用户not have sheet access. It would be very useful to have the ability to select specific columns AND turn off the sheet link (that is prominently displayed). The 'MESSAGE ONLY' option works ok if you only have a small number of columns to include AND you aren't sending the attachments and comments. I need the option to specify which columns to send (that includes comments and attachments) and hide the sheet link. Or at least give me the option to position the sheet link at the bottom page (preferably in a small, non-descript font).
Having the sheet link always visible (when not using MessageOnly) leads to superfluous, confusing and annoying user requests for sheet access.
I know you can use {{ }} to fill in specific field info, but it would be great to send the filed info in the row or vertical layout WITHOUT having the sheet link in the email.
Yes, PHULEEEEEEZE give us the option to leave the sheet link off!!!!
Creating a custom message without the sheet link and with fields would be a wonderful feature! Maybe even an option to attach another link to a different site (for example: I have grants entered into a sheet and the grant contacts receive a message letting them know there is a new grant opportunity with specific fields attached. The sheet is published, but I don't want anyone accessing the editable sheet. I'd like to eliminate the sheet link the automation generates and use the published link or a different link for them to access another related material. I have added the published link to the automation message. However, I would like to eliminate email overload and anyone requesting access to the editable sheet.)

Automation Generated Email Updates including row information and attachments WITHOUT sharing Sheet name, Link, or any other information would be amazing. I have set up a message only response and it does not add the attachments which is a pain.
I want to send an attachment without sending the link to the sheet. This is not an option. If you select any fields to send, you must send a link to the sheet. Can we have a way to just list the fields or select an attachment to send without sending a link to the sheet. Can the attachment be on top of the email instead of at the bottom. So it is easy to see/find.
100% agree with the original request and the posted comments. This feature is needful when sharing information with people who shouldn't have access to the source sheet. It's bad enough that Smartsheet directs every employee to request a license. Each time I have to reject the request and explain to the employee that a license is only needed to make formatting changes or column edits; it is NOT needed to access information or change existing columns.
Please provide the option not to link the sheet.
I'm so glad this is on the roadmap. I know the current advice is to use the Message Only version of the alert email, but since that version of the alert has to be triggered for each row, that method doesn't work for a daily or weekly automation that sends one email with all relevant rows. The main use of alert emails in our organization is to send specific information to people who do not and should not have access to the sheet, so including the sheet link just adds confusion and denied requests for access, as others have said.
I support this request with my vote as well. Including the link to the Sheet is not only not necessary for the application we built with Smartsheet, it is in such a dominate presentation that it begs to be clicked.
As so many other users have commented, the link to the sheet is creating confusion and we are receiving a bombardment of emails requesting access to the sheet upon sending weekly notifications of task status. PLEASE CAN THE LINK TO THE SHEET BE DELETED????? Message only is not an option as we have numerous rows for which we are trying to provide information. I've explored report options but we do not want to share the sheet with all users. Can we get an update on the status of this request?
Hard agree. Furthermore, the option to use placeholders removes the ability to send update digests daily/weekly/monthly. Frustrating to say the least!
