Best Practices for allocating resources in Resource Management?

Hello,

We are looking for some best practices around allocating resources in Resource Management. Currently, we are tracking hours at the role level for the duration of a project, but this causes our allocations to be spread out too much. Would it be useful to start tracking with Project Phases to better depict resource availability? What other best practices are there to allocate resources?

You can certainly allocate at the phase level if you want to be more granular than at the project level!

However keep in mind that if you're syncing projects across Resource Management and Smartsheet, syncing phases over isn't supported yet.

Hi@Genevieve P.couple of follow-up questions from your post.

1. Is there a release date for syncing phases?
2. Knowing phase syncing doesn't work would it still be ok to start my build using phases? Meaning, will everything under the phases still sync with Smartsheet? I need a granular view of a project showing what phase or part we are on.
