Date Range formula for last date
Hi
I hope someone can help.
I am trying to create a formula in Smartsheet that can pull the last date (i.e. the latest date) from a range of cells. E.G.: I have x number of dates in a range of cells in column E and I want to create a formula to look at the range and show the last date in that range. I must admit I am not a formula guru by any stretch of the imagination.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're trying to find the latest date (closest to today), then use a MAX function. For example:
=MAX([Column E]:[Column E])

If you need to find the oldest date (furthest from today), then use MIN:

卡蒂亚 ✭How to input that =max[ ] function for specific rows under a column? For example, display the max date for column Actual Date in rows 19:27. This would be input in a parent row. The sheet has a different set of dates (Start Date) with dependencies applied.

There is no direct way to do this. Adding a checkbox helper column with something similar to this and then formatting based on the checkbox is the simplest way. You can even hide the extra column, as there is no reason for it to be visible.<\/p>
