Anyone else have data clearing out of cells?

The issue I've been experiencing for approximately the past 2 weeks is this:

In a sheet or a report, I single-click a cell (to highlight it, not to go into edit mode within it). I leave it highlighted for just a few seconds, and it goes into edit mode on its own, as if I had double-clicked, but it also clears out all the data that was in that cell.

If I notice it immediately, I can use the Esc key to exit the cell and my data will return. Unfortunately I don't always notice (answering someone on Slack, looking at columns further on in the sheet, etc.) and I come back to my sheet with whatever had been in that cell missing, with the sheet having auto-saved after blanking it out.

I'm experiencing it on Edge, Chrome, and Firefox, all with cleared caches.

I did report it to Support on Tuesday, but have not heard back. Anyone else dealing with this or know of a solution or workaround? It's super frustrating.

Here's a screen recording - I click into the ZIV-5 cell, wait a few seconds, watch it blank itself out, then hit the Esc key.

@Amy.MizziDo you have any other input devices hooked up to or paired with your computer? Or a wireless mouse or keyboard? I've had weird things happen in certain apps when I've had a game controller attached, or when my wireless mouse battery started dying and it was sending ghost clicks...

Under windows,

Windows Update-> View Update History->Uninstall Updates.

Uninstall the latest installed windows update. That should do the trick.

@Amy.MizziDo you have any other input devices hooked up to or paired with your computer? Or a wireless mouse or keyboard? I've had weird things happen in certain apps when I've had a game controller attached, or when my wireless mouse battery started dying and it was sending ghost clicks...

Hi, I've been having this problem too, and have a wired mouse. I disconnected my wireless keyboard and tested with only the laptop keyboard, and it still happens. Any other ideas?

Unplug the mouse or switch to another wired mouse and see what happens. As the pads below the mouse buttons wear down, there could be unintended and unheard clicks happening. Just a thought, but it happens! My wife works in CAD all day, her mice only last about 2 years before they start going wonky because of the sheer volume of clicks, holds, and drags.

Haha! Thanks! It was the caffeine one I was thinking of, but there's another one called Amphetamine, but that one maybe works as an alternative that doesn't affect Smartsheet in the same way.

I've had a bad experience with one of them where my mac got too hot, and the app overrode it, causing damage to the screen. It was many years ago, so not a risk today.
