Resource Overallocation

Good morning,

I am managing a project with some very aggressive timelines using the Project Tracking and Rollup template set. I have added a column for Allocation %. My organization is in the process of purchasing enterprise licences, but currently we are just using a business licence, so I don't believe that we have access to resource management.

Is there a formula I can use to flag resource conflicts until we get our enterprise licences? Thank you

  • Hi There,

Not sure if your account is new, but you might still find "Resource Views" within Smartsheet, even in the business plan that you can leverage on. I have attached a screenshot. You can create a view to see all users in your Smartsheet account and their allocation across projects. The best way would be to go for Resource Management by Smartsheet, when you have the budget for it.

    Thanks,

Hi @Tamar

I think this is happening becuase you are editing a range that exists in the original location. Instead of editing the range in the new location, be sure to delete the entire range and then click in the place where it was in the formula. Then choose another range.

I hope that helps.

@Filippo, the most inelegant but dead simple thing to do is this:

=IF(IFERROR(COUNTIFS(Reviewer:Reviewer, <>"//www.santa-greenland.com/community/discussion/comment/", [Project Lead]:[Project Lead], [Project Lead]@row), "//www.santa-greenland.com/community/discussion/comment/")=0, "//www.santa-greenland.com/community/discussion/comment/", IFERROR(COUNTIFS(Reviewer:Reviewer, <>"//www.santa-greenland.com/community/discussion/comment/", [Project Lead]:[Project Lead], [Project Lead]@row), "//www.santa-greenland.com/community/discussion/comment/"))

Simplified, it's just this:

=IF(<your formula> = 0, "//www.santa-greenland.com/community/discussion/comment/", <your formula>)

You are very close, try this.
