I may have solved my own problem. Please have a look at this formula, and tell me what is wrong with it that hasn't yet come to bite me on the butt. Seems to be working, but I am leery... =SUM(COUNTIF([SF Phone decom'd/removed]2:[SF Phone decom'd/removed]99, "N/A"), COUNTIF([SF Phone decom'd/removed]2:[SF Phone…

FYI - I'm now wondering whether it's because I'm referencing the same range twice in one formula before I use the count. If that's the case, then I need to know how to identify two criteria in one column reference.

Hi Paul, I ended up reaching out to Smartsheet Support for help. Spent almost an hour on the phone with a rep, and here is the text from a follow-up note he sent describing the outcome of our exchange, and efforts to ID and resolve the problem: "...I'm glad we were able to connect earlier about the linked % Complete…

Hi Paul, Originally, I calculated the percent complete for underlying tasks using this formula (=(COUNTIF(Status2:Status12, "Complete")) / COUNT(Status2:Status12)), and the result was displayed as a %. However, after reading your suggestion, thinking it might change the outcome I created a new column with everything in it…

Hi Andree, I should have mentioned in my question that Dependencies were already enabled. It appears that Paul's response is the one might help. Although the % Complete was already definitely a percentage, and it's still not working. hmmmmm. I may have to submit this to Smartsheet as "something broken". Before I do, I am…

Thanks Andree, I made it reasonably quick for myself by clicking on the link at the row level, copying the URL in the window it brought up, and then pasted that into a new link at the Sheet level. Wasn't the most efficient, but actually didn't take as long to re-make the links I wanted to move as I thought it would. Ken

Thanks, Ron. I'll have to do some study of the VALUE function, as your suggestion worked to correct the problem. However, I've no idea how :-). Still - a solution is a solution, no?

Thanks very much, Paul. Andree offered the same suggestion, but you get 2.0948 extra points, because you actually showed me how to adapt my formula with it. Saved me the trouble of having to learn it, but also taught me something. Cheers.

Sorry, Andree. The company for which I'm contracting at the moment doesn't allow external sharing. However, the VALUE suggestion you made ended up working.

谢谢,她名叫。你是一个摇滚star (as usual). Stay tuned - I'm about to post another question.
